Good one-way links come from net pages that are applicable to your page's topic: The first metric that you can use to decide a correct hyperlink is the page's relevance, in contrast to your page's topic. Brian Clark, the founder of Copyblogger, a content material advertising site, was once these days interviewed at The Rise To The Top.

One of the ways to get a better ranking and more traffic is by building backlinks to your website. Contrary to what Google wants us to believe, backlinks haven’t lost any of their power and are still a strong indicator of the site’s quality.

Links from reputable and high-authority websites will improve the ranking of your site. However, as you look for ways to gain more traffic through backlinks, you need to be aware of certain things.

Check the website DA(Domain Authority) and Spam score before getting a backlink.

Check DA and if the site is relevant to the website, it's a good place to get links and chances are high to get visitors from there.

Check if the website is indexed by Google.
Replace “domain.com” with the URL of the site you are checking. You can check if any of your existing backlinks is coming from domains that are not indexed by Google, by looking at the google icon, next to the link status, in Monitor Backlinks.

You heard me saying numerous times that you can find new link building opportunities by spying competitors. But are all the backlinks of your competitors good?

No!

Just because they are ranking higher than you in Google, it doesn’t necessarily mean that all their backlinks are good. The truth is that only some of their links are worth replicating.

1. Check if the website is indexed by Google.
2. Check if the website is ranking for its own name
3. Check how often the site publishes new content
4. Analyze how readers engage with their posts

These are some of the most important metrics to check:
1. Trust & Citation Flow – sites with a score below 10 are usually bad and not worthy
2. Domain Authority & MozRank – A website with a Domain Authority above 20 is often good and can help you with SEO.
3. Backlink status – Look at how the site you are checking is linking to third party websites. Some sites will only link with nofollow, making the link useless for SEO purposes.
4. Spam Score – The metrics provided by moz can tell you how likely it is that the site analyzed to be flagged as SPAM. A spam score above five can tell that the website is bad.
