Go to ahref.com put your competitor url and click on backlinks your will get to know all about the link which other sites are providing him.

They are some pretty good tools are available in the market. Most of the tools are paid or free (to some extend and after that you need to pay for full access). I personally use Open Site Explorer (OSE), Majestic SEO, Ahrefs & a great new tool I am using Cognitive SEO (pretty for good for checking your previous link building effects).

Some of the best SEO tools to analyze competitor's back links are backlinkwatch.com, SEO spy glass, ahrefs.com.
