When creating your website, the choice of your domain extension, or TLD, is important as it can impact your SEO performances. ... Features like domain-level keyword and domain extension have a low correlation to search rankings, but they still have. And they are still in front of social metrics like Twitter

Google has said more times than anyone can count that the TLD of a website does not matter at all and also said that the domain name of a website does not matter at all. The only thing that matters is the content on a website and its engagement metrics along with the number of backlinks.

The ONLY time a TLD matters is if you choose one of the country-specific ones. Google has said that those will be used for geo-targeting - https://webmasters.googleblog.com/20...top-level.html

Webpage extensions won't dierctly affect SEO but to some extent "Yes"!!!

For example, a Keyword which ranks on the first page in the .com.br domain might show some different ranking in the .co.in or .com domain.
