Do No-Follow backlinks work in SEO?

swikriti.sharma09

They might not help you much in ranking but they do bring in a lot of traffic to your website if you do guest posting on High quality sites.

You just need to make sure that you maintain a proper ratio of Do follow to No follow Links. 99% of the people will always look for Do follow links as that is the right way to get Quality backlinks and improved Search Engine Rankings

Although No follow links may not be that useful but that doesn't mean you should completely ignore it. For e.g if you are getting a Do follow Link from Huffington post and if it is No follow will you give away on that link. That no follow link will be pretty useful to your link building campaign because you will be getting a backlink from a HIgh Authority site

I would say, No. Though Google has already made it clear that they ignore the nofollow tag most of the time. But, No-follow links do not pass through a link-juice and that's why these links are not important for SEO. If you only target Google than you will not get any benefits (you will only get referral traffic) but, if you want to rank top in Bing, then you can continue to build no-follow links.

Nofollow is html tag that website owners, add to links in their website for the search engines not to crawl, notice, or acknowledge a link. While a nofollow link is ignored, but popular social networking site like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Myspace sites are nofollow, but they do provide a lot of other benefits.

Yes, no-follow backlinks can still have an impact on SEO, although not as direct as do-follow backlinks. While search engines may not pass link juice or attribute much value to these links, they can still contribute to website visibility, referral traffic, and overall brand exposure. Additionally, a diverse backlink profile that includes both do-follow and no-follow links is generally beneficial for organic rankings.

No-follow backlinks were initially introduced by search engines as a way to combat spam and prevent the manipulation of search rankings through excessive link building. These links have an attribute called "rel=nofollow" which tells search engines not to follow or pass authority from the linking page to the linked page.

While no-follow links may not directly impact search engine rankings, they still offer other benefits for SEO. They can generate traffic to your website if users click on them, potentially leading to conversions or increased brand visibility. No-follow links also help to diversify your backlink profile, which is considered important for a natural and authoritative link profile.

Moreover, even though search engines may not give as much weight to no-follow links, they still use them as signals of popularity, credibility, and relevance. High-quality no-follow links from reputable websites can still have a positive influence on your overall SEO efforts.

In summary, while do-follow backlinks are traditionally more valuable for SEO, no-follow backlinks still provide benefits such as referral traffic, brand exposure, and contributing to a diversified backlink profile. It's generally recommended to have a healthy mix of both types of backlinks to improve your website's SEO performance.

few key points:

1. Referral Traffic: No-follow backlinks can drive traffic to your website if users click on them. Even though search engines may not directly factor in these links for ranking purposes, they can still generate valuable visitors who may engage with your content, make purchases, or become potential customers.

2. Brand Exposure: No-follow backlinks from reputable websites can help to increase your brand exposure and visibility. When people come across these links on other platforms, they may become curious about your brand and actively seek out more information by visiting your website or engaging with your content through other channels.

3. Link Profile Diversity: Having a diverse backlink profile, which includes both no-follow and do-follow links, is generally considered beneficial for SEO. It indicates to search engines that your website is being referenced and mentioned by various sources, adding credibility and value to your online presence.

4. Influence on Search Engines: While search engines may not assign direct ranking value to no-follow backlinks, they do play a role in determining the popularity, relevance, and authority of a website. High-quality no-follow links from authoritative sources can still contribute to search engines' understanding of your website's reputation and industry relevance.

Backlinks are divided into two categories: dofollow and nofollow
Dofollow is the property you want to tell google to follow this link to your site. If you link good google ranking you will increase and vice versa.
nofollow you want to tell google not to follow this link, but do not affect the rank but how much it makes your backlinks look more natural. that's what I know

Yes No follow links are also works for traffic for our website. When our website getting traffic then it will be affects on seo of website. Only do follow links will not help to our website. Even if any website having only do follow links if google see that website then there is more chances to ban of that website. One more thing is our website domain authority may has chance to improve.
