Hello all,

Did anyone notice? Google Removed Right-Side Ads from search result but Will It Impact Organic Search Results?

Yes it's confirmed that Google has removed the ads on the right side of their page results, see more here: http://searchengineland.com/google-no-ads-right-side-of-desktop-search-results-242997

I think the change will also affect organic results. However, I am not sure if it is a positive or a negative change.

One possible (positive) change we may see is fewer ads may mean more organic results on the page.

But if there will be a fourth ad on Google SERPs, the organic results may be pushed further down the page, which will decrease visibility. This may be a negative impact.

Google is rolling out a dramatic change that removes ads from the right side of its desktop search results, and places ads only at the top and/or bottom of the page. At the same time, the company says it may show an additional ad — four, not three — above the search results for what it calls "highly commercial queries."
