Can we use links in our content? How many links should we use in our content? If we use too many links in our web pages then can it be a problem in SEO results?

You can use upto 3 links in a content, But make sure that link must be related to the content and the content must be properly optimized and user oriented.

Google is paying more attention towards brand name, after the Google Penguin Update anchor texts loosing its magic in SEO, but it's not dead. Do not over optimize anchor text, 1-2 links is sufficient.

Its also depends on the length of content, if your content length is above 1000 or 1500 words you can use upto 4% links.

You may use up to 3 hyper links in an article material or a Blog, But create sure that we-blink must be relevant to the material and the material must be effectively enhanced and customer focused.

Maximum of 3 links per page, though one link is enough and reasonable. Well, as a user, I often dislike link-heavy pages I prefer to see much more of the information and content value. However, there are times huge links can lead to new discovery.

I see many saying 3 links per article. if google had to do everything what it is saying, it probably would stop saying.
have you ever seen wikipedia give hundreds of links within its content? yet it is considered worth by google. but it chikmanglore.org.cn which is a page rank 0 or below(no rank) gives 3 links in its content on a deep down page, google I think would either not give it a consideration or if it does, it will count 1 or 2 or will consider negetively.

The domain authority of the page makes a lot of difference. I suggest if you make a page do not always stick to 3 , it could be a little more it could be less or no backlink at all on the page. oh yes, outbound links is a different story at all.

Google used to have that 100-links-per-page in their Webmaster guidelines. They've dropped that since 2013, or earlier I think. Here's a post - http://searchengineland.com/googles-matt-cutts-we-dropped-the-100-links-per-page-guideline-but-we-may-take-action-if-it-is-too-spammy-178197. Also, here's a post about Matt Cutts being called a hypocrite because a blog post where he gave an interview is filled with links - http://www.seroundtable.com/google-cutts-links-hypocrisy-18365.html. And here's the controversial post with a lot of links http://matt.cutts.usesthis.com/.

Conclusion: You can add more than 2-3 links inside your content, as long as they are not spammy and/or irrelevant.

I will suggest you to use only 1 link minimum and max 2 link if it is necessary. Since creating many links in one content will be consider spamming also. so always be alert when using link in content.
