You would be safe if you use 1 or 2 links per 500 words in a web-page and do not use optimized anchor text.

You can use upto 3-4% of links according to your content in page. Don't over optimize your keywords with so many links. Google will treat this as a spam.

You can use 3 links to your 1000 words content. But do not try to build the rank on particular keywords use phrases & it should be meaningful too. You can use one link as an outbound link like Wikipedia or any info. site.

Creation of two links in contents of 500 words is considered good practice. More links from one article is not considered good by search engines

1-2 should be most preferable number of links in your content. Until you have a website having very high PR and your posting your content with the quality level that of like Wikipedia, you should not use more than 1 link in any content.

You can use one or two links in your content. it is the best because more links is looks like black hat and also not acceptable.

Here is the best tip you will ever hear.

Add one of your keywords, your URL, a URL to an authority site like wikiepedia, a youtube video and your unique content. That is something that really works.

Its is depends on your content words,
if you are adding links in 500 words then there you could add 2 links, use this natural formula.

It solely depends on the amount of your content. If the article is of 500 words, 3 links will be good. If the article is of 1200-1500 words, then you can give 5-6 links. Stuffing links can result in spam content.
