How much JavaScript can affect my site's SEO?
« on: 07-03-2020, 00:00:36 »
I have heard John Mu & Martin Splitt from Google speak about Googlebot indexing in two waves - first for plain HTML & then rendering the content (executing JavaScript). Keeping this in mind:

- If my text or images load via JavaScript & not through plain HTML - is that content on page less probable to be indexed?
- How does this play out considering every site has a certain Crawl Budget?

Looking for experiences, thoughts & opinion on this.

Hi,

Javascript sites aren’t bad for indexation but they make Google work harder. Google renders javascript sites more slowly. Hence you will face competitive disadvantage in SERP.
