you can find some keywords for your local SEO by adding the city or state with the search terms and set your preferred location in the Google keyword planner. You also use keywordtool.io to get the different search queries and check their searches and competition in the keyword planner. You can then select the search queries with the good searches and less competition.

Google Planner is actually not the right tool to check keywords for local SEO. Better you go and search on google like you locally targeted users may search.

Some thing like, {service name} near me, {service name} Location Name - It could be local area or district, State etc. I'm sure you will find the very right keywords for your local business.

Of if you need any help with finding it. let me know :)

Choosing the right keywords for local SEO can be challenging, especially when the Google Keyword Planner doesn't display search volumes for certain keywords. Here are a few tips to help you choose the right keywords for local SEO:

1. Location-specific keywords: Focus on incorporating location-specific terms into your keywords. For example, if you are a restaurant in Austin, Texas, include keywords like "best restaurants in Austin" or "Austin TX restaurants" to attract local customers.

2. Long-tail keywords: Consider using long-tail keywords that are more specific and have less competition. These keywords usually contain multiple words and are more likely to target your local audience.

3. Competitor analysis: Analyze your competitors' websites and keywords they are using for local SEO. This can give you insights into what works in your industry and help you identify potential keywords to target.

4. Customer research: Conduct research to understand how your target audience searches for local businesses. This could involve surveying your customers, talking to local residents, or using tools like Google Trends to see popular search terms in your area.

5. Online directories: Look for keywords commonly used in online directories like Google My Business, Yelp, or Yellow Pages. This can provide valuable insights into what people search for when looking for local businesses.

6. Consider user intent: Think about the intent behind specific keywords. Are people looking for information, products, or services? Understanding the intent behind a keyword can help you choose relevant keywords that align with your business offerings.

7. Leverage location modifiers: Include location modifiers in your keywords to increase their local relevance. For example, if you are a plumber in Los Angeles, consider using keywords like "emergency plumber Los Angeles" or "affordable plumber near me."

8. Use Google My Business insights: If you have a verified Google My Business listing, you can leverage the insights provided by Google to understand the terms people are using to find and engage with your business. This can help you identify popular keywords to target.

9. Monitor competition: Keep an eye on your competitors' SEO strategies. Tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs can help you analyze their organic search rankings, backlinks, and keywords they are targeting. This information can provide valuable insights and inspiration for your own keyword selection.

10. Leverage customer reviews: Pay attention to the keywords customers use in their reviews when talking about your business or similar businesses. These keywords can give you an idea of how customers perceive your business and what terms they associate with it.

11. Test and refine: Keyword research is an ongoing process. Monitor the performance of your chosen keywords, track rankings, and make adjustments as needed. It may take some trial and error to find the most effective keywords for your local SEO strategy.

Right keywords can be selected using Google keyword planner. It is the best free tool for high quality keyword research. They help to provide various keyword suggestions for your domain, and selecting the right keywords will help to rank your website higher in search results.
