Thanks! Good and thorough reply. I would add that Google is looking at your backlink profile and anchor text profile more as a whole. Going natural and extremely relevant (with on-page, and backlinks) and avoiding so much of the same anchors, you will be doing just fine. Obviously site content and efficiency / mobile friendliness are important as well.
