One page website is popularly known as a Landing Page. Study your target audience first then use this information to design and build your page according to the users perspective, needs, and expectation.

If there is a form in that page then you can create a thank-you page and when user will click on the submit button it will redirect user to thank-you page...

And if its just an informative page then you can add a subscriber form and when user will fill that form same thing will happen with user (mentioned as above)..

How sticky is your website? Are your visitors hanging around, or are they bouncing right off the page? Lucky for you, there's a metric for that.

Your website's bounce rate is a metric that indicates the percentage of people who land on one of your web pages and then leave without clicking to anywhere else on your website -- in other words, single-page visitors.

If visitors bounce, it suggests they either didn't find what they were looking for, or the page wasn't user-friendly.

Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page. It can be reduced by:

Good content update
Internal links
Easy navigation
Quick loading of webpage

A bounce is defined as a single page visit. If a user clicks on a link to a page on your website, spends five minutes reading that page, and then exits your site, they’re a bounce. In other words, a user could find exactly what they’re looking for, have a great experience on your website, and still be counted as a bounce.

For one page website bounce rate is considered if within 5 seconds users will leave your website. Try to check designing structure, is it ok and easy to navigate? and most importantly have a look that people will search by those keywords those are exactly you offer or not. means suppose users search by some keyword but after landing your page can not find that product or service by which they have searched.
