Internal links are those that point to internal webpages of the same domain. They are much helpful for your website as they redirect your traffic to all pages of your website. This helps visitors to spend more time on your website and reduce the bounce rate for your website.

Here are some practices for a Good link structure:
- no page should be more than three clicks away from your homepage;
-  use relevant anchor text for internal linking (avoid optimization);
- use your homepage to link to your most important pages;
- add breadcrumb navigation to your site;
- add navigation links to your  footer and sidebar;
- use the related posts or popular posts plugin  to improve user engagement;
- use dynamic sidebars and the widget context plugin to link to relevant internal pages;
- links towards the top of the page are treated more importantly by Google.
