Title: Keyword Proximity?
Post by: Reynolds Riser on 07-18-2013, 00:55:07
Keyword proximity measures how close in the text the keywords are. It is best if they are immediately one after the other (e.g. “dog food”), with no other words between them. For instance, if you have “dog” in the first paragraph and “food” in the third paragraph, this also counts but not as much as having the phrase “dog food” without any other words in between. Keyword proximity is applicable for keyword phrases that consist of 2 or more words.

I agree with this content. Keyword density should 2% of the total word content in the web page.

I would say 3-4% keyword density is good for the content and for result of seo because over their you can target more keywords so chances will be increase with the more number keywords.

Keyword proximity states that the difference between the keywords should be minimum as to take the maximum benefit.
For eg: Seo training or "Be an expert seo with professional training"
Here you can figure out, which one can work best for you.

Keyword proximity is the distance between two keyword in a search query in comparison to the position of the same keyword present in the pages we found by entering the query into any of the search engine. for example if the search query is "Building Architect" and search result contains "Professional Architect to design a building in your area" Here Search Term proximity between Building and Architect is one word.

Keyword proximity refers to how lock two or more keywords are to each other. You will get higher rankings if you put your keywords close together. It consideration should include the proximity of keyword or keyword phrases to other keyword occurrences within the page, and also top of the pages.

Keyword proximity is an outstanding combination of keywords and density. Therefore, the focus on the keywords in a sentence near the location and frequency of its words are used, also taking into account the distance between them.

Keyword proximity is the combination of the density of a keyword and the prominence. So proximity looks at the location of the keyword in the sentence and how often it's being used in that sentence and also takes into account the distance between them. It measures the distance between two keywords in the text. Keyword proximity is used by some search engines to measure relevancy of a given page to the search request.

Keyword proximity refers to the closeness between two or more keywords. In general, the closer the keywords are, the better. It will help to understand the meaning of keyword rather than writing it in distance.

Keyword proximity refers to closeness of keywords. Your keywords should be close to each other in content of web page. Many people don’t know about keywords. They generally treats key phrases as a keyword. Usually we do not target keyword.

A search term can be made up of a combination of keywords. The keyword proximity refers to the distance between the search term’s individual keywords. For example: a website contains the keywords that make up the search term “Detroit Corporate Photographer” in the sentence “Detroit Photographer Blake Discher specializes in corporate photography”. The search term proximity between “Detroit” and “Photographer” is excellent, zero words, but between “Photographer” and “corporate” it is four words. The smaller the distance between a search term’s individual keywords, the more relevant it will be from a search engine’s point of view.

Keyword proximity is the combination of keyword and it refers to the distance between individual keyword. In webpage content, the keyword must be close to each other. Eg "Digital Marketing" not as "Dig ital marketing"

In my opinion, your keywords should be close to each other in content of the webpage. People usually treats key phrases as a keyword. Generally we do not target keyword.
In your case, the word "dog food" is not a key word. It is a key phrase. Here "food" is a one keyword and "dog" is another keyword.  To make proximity higher you should use both keywords in your content. Distance between "food" and "dog" in the sentence should be less to make proximity higher. Using your keywords again and again in content is not a good practice.
