Suppose your logo, a link in your footer area and a link on your top navigation bar (across your entire site) all link to your home page.
<a href="myhomePage.com">Shopping Home Page</a> // link to home page in top navigation bar
<a href="myhomePage.com"> <img src="Shopping-logo.jpg"></a> // logo that links to home page
<a href="myhomePage.com">Home</a> // link to home page in footer

Will you get an SEO penalty for this? Should you use the nofollow in one or two of those links? Thanks!

Keep the number of links to minimum on your home page. This will help reduce the bounce rate of your website. You can also use 'no follow' links to minimize the link juice.

Yes you can do this and place same link to all of these. There won't be an issue unless you place too many links on that page.

Multiple links linking to your home page wouldn't effect the ranking of your website. You should make links for the internal pages of your website and could make the juice to flow to the sub pages so that your page rank can be divided easily and can give a rank your website at the top as well with high authority.
