1   Content is King, So content Comes First.
1.1   Original Content (articles, text, images, videos, presentations, infographics, comments etc.)
1.2   Content published on your website first
1.3   Include Content in videos descriptions
1.4   Publish Useful Content on Your Web Site.
1.5   Publish Content that is well researched, Post long Articles and Write both side of story in your article
1.6   Frequency Post New Articles.
2   Write Well Define Page titles, description and formatting
2.1   unique title that will help both search engines and users understand what the page is about.
2.2   Advertise your page on Description tag and convince the searcher to click your link ( 150 character)
2.3   Formatting (use h1 to h6 tag in headings or sub headings also include bold, underline or italics to highlight content)
2.4   Images( Use original images, Optimise the size of the images, Use ALT tag to describe the image, Use descriptive filenames( title ),  Use a Content Delivery Network ( In simple terms your images will be hosted and served by a number of servers and this speeds up the loading process.)
3   URL Structure
3.1   Permanent links (Good URLs should be less than 255 characters and use hyphens to '-'separate the different parts.)
3.2   Categories (Group your pages into categories to help users and search engines find what they want faster)
3.3   Breadcrumb (it shows how deep below the home page.)
3.4   User Sitemap (represents the structure of your website)
4   Internal linking
4.1   It's like building your own web
4.2   It's a way to let search engines know about your other pages
4.3   It's a way to tell search engines which are your most important pages
4.4   It's a way to increase time on site
4.5   Don't use keywords only for your internal links
4.6   Write 'related posts' at the end of each post for internal linking
5   Speed and authorship
5.1   Speed (google consider web site speed but some research say site speed does't effect google ranking)
5.2   Google authorship (Google authorship is still at its early stages but it's gaining ground fast so you have to create a Google+ profile and bind the profile with your content.)

No need to change in on-page activity but we need to change seo off-page activity(strategy) because after penguine update, content is king and high quality link building work is better for keeping rank for website.
