SEO in 2013

Wow! What a year it's been in SEO 2012, we've had the crаckdown on link networks, EMD's, Panda, Penguin, and Piranha.

Ok, I made the last one up, but there should have been Piranha update right?
It got me thinking, what on earth is Google going to throw at us in 2013? How can they top that? I had no idea, so I thought I'd ask some of my Friends.

My guess is many more algorithm "shocks". Think about it, link building has never changed too much over the last couple of years, despite all the Penguins and Pandas.

Some things will always remain important:

1. On-page SEO: Proper, well-researched content. No keyword stuffing. Proper Meta tags. No irrelevant outgoing links.
2. Off-page SEO: Relevant, High PageRank backlinks with Low OBL (external links count).

Following only those two points (and be smart about it) will beat any algorithm Google throws at you in 2013, 2014, 2015, etc.

The most talked about update from google in 2013 is Penguin. Google's web spam team head said they are planning to launch more efficient Penguin updates in 2013. Panda will be no more after the last panda update on 24th March 2013.
