I was never interested in SEO, but now that we are developing a new website for our company, I decided to learn a little bit about keywords.

I basically don't know much about this stuff, I just watched a couple of videos on Youtube, and I am familiar with the google keyword planner tool. That's it. That said, being a software engineer, I will want to automate this process for my self.

So, my question is:
When selecting keywords, my goal should be to look for keywords with the highest Estimated Impressions & Clicks and the lowest Competition?

Is this it? Is the principle really this simple?

Keyword Analysis is one of the most important, valuable, and high return activities in the search marketing field. I always select wordtracker for keyword research and Keyword Research Tool will help you research appropriate words and phrases to include in your web-page's body text to promotion.

SEO is rated lower than techniques like content marketing, big data, mobile and social media marketing, and conversion rate optimization. The word or words that people use to search for something in a search engine - are the foundation of SEO. In order to understand how people use search engines, you need to do keyword research in a scientific way.

You should be starting out from a few keywords you know your target group is searching for. Then, with the help of Google Adwords, you can find related keywords you hadn't thought of, and that still sum up to a considerable amount of search phrases where you can reach your audience.

Keyword research is pretty simple provided you do it the right way. Here are some strategies for doing keyword research

1. Look for keywords in your niche.

2. Check their search volume, CPC, Keyword difficulty while choosing keywords

3. Make use of LSI keywords and Long tail keywords

4. Also look for competition while choosing the keywords. Choosing highly competitive keywords wherein there are less chances of ranking is not a wise decision. Instead focus on medium or low to medium competition keywords wherein you can easily rank
