Structured data: google webmaster

My google webmaster tools says under "structured data" that there are no structured data on my website.
Can anybody advise on its significance, and whether its safe and possible for an absolute amateur to try to improve it?

Eden,
You can use the structure data tool to make changes on your website when somebody searches for it. You can decide and apply it for inks that you want to show in SERPs. You may have seen for some websites that there below their website there are many pages that shows up in results. For example, About US, Contact US, Home, Careers etc etc that clearly represents Websites important pages. You can modify the links and title you want to show up in SERPs. Its easy to do and beneficial also.

Another Example is :
Type Google in your browser and you will see results showing as Google News, Google maps, Google Images and Translate that what a structured data can do for your website. Try it for sure.

Many thanks but when I put my website edengalaxy.com in google the website appears with its structures?? Any advice?
