Say for example, in the title tag and H1 tag of your home page you used the keyword phrase "Texas hill country land for sale," and assume this phrase was rarely used in Google searches. But segments within that phrase "Texas hill country" and "land for sale" were highly used and recommended for optimization. Would the fact that the entire phrase "Texas hill country land for sale" was rarely used negatively impact the two highly used phrases within that phrase Texas hill country" and "land for sale"?   

I posted this question in the beginners section yesterday, and realized it might be better suited in the advanced section. My apologies for posting it IMO in the wrong section yesterday.

Well when you used some keywords phrase related your search term, its good that, some times a single keywords can be harmful for your seo task. you need to keep posting like that, when some use related search term then may be your keywords call and appear in searches.
