As I know Back links, also known as incoming links, inbound links, in links, and inward links, are incoming links to a website or web page. In basic link terminology, a back link is any link received by a web node (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another web node.

Backlinks enable you to keep track of other pages on the web that link to your posts. Some search engines, including Google will consider Web sites with more backlinks more relevant in search results pages.

Links coming from other sites to your site are simply called Back Links for your site. The more quality back links you have the higher ranking you can obtain in search engines results.
