Hello friends I want to know what is a Google trend?

Google trends tell you how many people search for that particular keyword. You can compare many keywords together and can decide which keyword is apt for your site based on their searches.

I will try to explain it in as simple terms as possible. Suppose you search for the keyword say for eg. "Coupons" and find that for a particular time it is 100. Now what it actually means is that for that time the ratio of "Coupons" search to any search (#searches for Coupons/#total searches) will be maximum. Let us assume in year 2009 the ratio is 0.25 which is the maximum till now, this 0.25 will be made 100 and all other values will be multiplied by a factor of 400 (100/0.25) to normalise the trend.
