I am using email marketing always for my product and get lot of customer from here. So this is very good methods. But you have to check about spam email that is bad for this methods

I think that you will only recommend products or services as an affiliate that you're extremely very familiar with, preferably products you have used before and that  have helped you to achieve something. If you are not confident in the product and you don't feel that it can really help people, you don't need to promote it!
Also you must never directly say to anyone to purchase a product! You can recommend products based on your experience and in the context of what you have done or what you are doing.
