Aside from the ever-changing Google doodle, the notable difference with the desktop Google search page is Google Instant. In an effort to display the sought-after information quicker, Google Instant anticipates the user's intentions and often populates related results without the user even needing to use the "enter" button. The user can cease typing the query when the desired results appear, even if the entire query is not yet finished.

Google also displays "answer boxes" at the top of the SERPs for many search queries. These boxes display above any links to articles, news, and website results for the associated search term. The boxes often appear as short answers to a user's query and the intent, once again, is to answer the searcher's question quicker—in this case without requiring the user to click into a link. Types of answer boxes include word definitions, flight information, movie show times, population charts, and dozens of other bits of information.

As stated earlier, Yahoo is considered an internet portal, rather than a search engine, with web search as one of the portal's key features. Yahoo's home page is much more decorated and interactive than Google or Bing and includes a vast array of products and features that connect a user to news, shopping, travel, email, Tumblr, Flikr, and much more.

Answer boxes are few and far between and right-column content is nonexistent on Yahoo SERPs: searching for "population of sweden" returns a snippet of info from the CIA World Factbook that somewhat resembles a search result and an answer box hybrid. Searching for a definition of a word returns a similar result/answer box combination.

Google Search

Google Search has been the search engine world leader both in terms of search quality and user experience. Google has maintained that position for a very long time with over 90% market share of search engine users up to in Vietnam. One reason for this dominance is "simply because Google is always best".

Google Search Priority:

Keywords in url
Keywords in title
Keywords appear in the header tag or tags h1
Backlinks, lots of backlinks. Google prioritize quality over quantity backlinks. This is equivalent to "The popularity of the link".
Anchor text related to the theme and content of the website, both from outside and inside the website.
Keywords secondary, with numbers big enough to balance with the amount of primary keys.
New content. The site is constantly adding new content will be Google preferred. This is why Google is preferred blogs, especially popular blogs.
Google seems to like the site rather than commercial sites. This is why all kinds of this website tend to predominate in the SERPs for a number of keywords and controlled for most business owners have headaches available.
Google Search dislikes:

The structure of these duplicate pages on 1 site
The duplication of content
Optimization overboard (spam keywords in the content)
Too many low quality links to the site and exchange links or the links work in general

Yahoo! Search

Yahoo wants to be like Google and imitated a lot from Google. This may be the reason why Yahoo's second-largest market share in Vietnam after Google (although recently the share of this stuff tends to decrease and to fall into the hands of Bing and Google). Search engines also tend priority and non-priority things like Google Search, but there are some notable differences between the two leading search engines, the thing that would make Yahoo ! somewhat easily dominate than Google.

First, the direct opposite of Google, Yahoo tend to prefer e-commerce sites over the information pages. This is a competitive method is quite effective search tool, stripping out the e-commerce business provides a significant revenue source for any search engine.
Second, Yahoo! also uses methods that save the underlying index or the word means the same in its algorithm, but the store is not extensive indexing by Google. Therefore, the results of Yahoo! are always fond of literally than Google. Moreover finding "exact match" keyword instead of searching the word "appropriate" as Google have been doing is making the search results of Yahoo paucity of content and less relevant than Google.
The use of search terms "exact match" also makes email filtering spam tools is somewhat restrictive than Google, which makes all emails are likely to be considered spam. People also say that finding appropriate keywords that Google can make this tool easy to be "fool", but personally I find this search algorithm of Yahoo! was and pulling the search engines are becoming obsolete than Google.
Next, Yahoo than Google Backlinks respected, both in quantity as well as quality Backlinks.
Yahoo! trust meta keywords and description tags than Google. When a site owner wants to improve website ranking on Yahoo !, this is the position they started editing. Creating description tags, meta keywords, content on pages, and other card-related titles and are optimized usually effective immediately for investors SEO for search engines.
Reading this, you know why it is different and instead, wish you success.

Differences in the features, tools and even search results each company offers mean that each provides a very different experience. Yahoo, for example, provides news on its front page while Google does not. These differences reflect the different niches each company attempts to fill. Yahoo strives to be a "one-stop" destination while Google focuses on developing new tools.

Google and Bing each have their own algorithms for organic search. Yahoo has a deal with Bing to use its results, but has modified them slightly based on its own business goals.

Google and Bing each have their own proprietary algorithms for organic search. Yahoo has a deal with Bing to use its results, but has modified them slightly based on its own business goals.

The good news is, they are all claiming to be after the same things, so there is no need to try and optimize for each of them separately. As long as you focus on creating great, original content on properly built sites that attract inbound links, you're on the right path.

Over the years, some have claimed that different technical aspects are different on Bing vs. Google, but they are engine and hardly worth changing.

True SEO is about site best practices that you would do even if Google didn't exist, do focus more on that than on this level details and you'll live a long and happy life.

The reason why you may see different search results on Google and Yahoo is because each search engine uses its own algorithms and ranking factors to determine the relevance and order of search results. These algorithms take into account various factors such as website authority, content quality, user behavior, and many others. Additionally, search engines constantly update and refine their algorithms, which may also contribute to variations in search results.
