Dear Friends

Hereby, In this article, I am going to share the 7 best tips to optimize the On-Page Performance of your website. Since more than 35% of the total websites are powered by Wordpress today, I have written this article, assuming a website powered by WordPress.

These 7 tips will definitely improve the performance of your WordPress site. So, What are we waiting for? Let's start discussing them below.

1. Use of Proper heading Tags

Make sure your blog post includes the proper use of Heading Tags in it. The Heading tags are represented by the character 'H' like H1, H2, H3, and so on.

Ideally, in a WordPress blog, the title of the blog post is represented by the H1 tags. Hence, you can start your article with H2 tags followed by H3, and so on.

For better performance, ensure you follow the heading tags in a particular hierarchy. In simple words, you can't use the H4 directly after H1 tags.

2. Optimize Images

No matter, how small your images are? Before uploading the same on your site, please optimize it for the file size. You should try to reduce the file size (without losing its quality) to the extent it is possible.

Further, you should enable the lazy load of images on your site. This will improve the performance of your site drastically.

3. Loading Speed of your Website

6.Integrate Social Media Sharing

Enable Social Media sharing options on your site. This will allow your users to share your content easily on various social networking sites.

Please note, I strongly suggest instead of all enabling all the social networking sites, I suggest enable only one or two or max to 3 social buttons on your site. Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest are enough for any website.

7. Keep it Simple

Last but not least the other important element for improving the performance of WordPress blog is to 'Keep it Simple'.

Keep your blog as simple as possible. It is not compulsory to enable all the available features in your blog. Further, there is no need of using high-resolution images everywhere like Header, Footer, etc.
