PPC to promote blogs

Hey guys

I've always thought PPC i.e. adwords etc worked well with websites selling a product but what about information sites like blogs etc. Does it pay to use PPC on blog type sites that are pretty much just peddling info....

I mean even if we get a few adsense clicks from promoting the site with adwords we're still only going to break even at best. So do any of you use PPC on your blog ? Yes or No with reasons and examples please!

I think if you have heavy trafficed blog or if you have full confidence that your blog will make well and impress people then only use PPC for Blogs otherwise it could be very risky thing.
