I have been using both the version for my job. I might have to know which is the most desirable form blog or article production. As i were supposed to get SERP ranking which will do the best for my work?

article would be best for your site, but the quality rally matters. while blog gives you a high SEO rate, so go for Blog.
Both are best for your site traffic, but articles are good due to Do-follow links. There are bit difficult to find do-follow blogs that is why I prefer to article submission.
Actually both blog and article are useful. Blog can be helpful in a way that it can provide your website a chance to share your product/service or what benefits can a consumer get when he/she purchase your product/service. Article marketing gives you a privilege to share your knowledge and just like the blog it gives you an opportunity to give your readers a chance to learn more about your product/service.
Blog and article both has each value and significance. The only thing we should know is the art of using them. Natural way of blogging and article posting that fetches people's eye!!
Use both but blogs are most important on wordpress. personally I don't think blogger is good platform for blogging although, its DA is very high but no traffic on blogs
