I think creating relationships with other bloggers on your niche will make you standout. It's not only that they can help you with backlinks (of course they can) but also they will be your loyal readers. You will make a great community with them.

That's why I care a lot about making friends.

In my opinion, the main thing is to choose the topic with which you are well acquainted and which you are interested. You need to understand that you need to have enough information to write posts every week. Your posts should be expert enough to make people interested in reading. They should think that you really understand what you are writing about and that they can use your information. It can be related to your work or your hobby. You can have a lifestyle blog if you have an interesting life and if you know that people will be interested in watching it. You should start blogging not when you think "Probably blogging is great, I want it too, but I don't know about what", but when you think "I have something to write about in a blog, I know how I can be useful to people". Only then will the blog be successful.
