Anchor text is simply the visible and clickable text in a link. If you want to learn how create it, you will need to memorize a very simple HTML code: <a href="http://www.mywebsites.com/">anchor text</a> !

Anchor text is the visible characters anf words that  hyperlinks display when linking to another document or location on the web. Search engines use this text to help determine the subject matter of the linked-to document.
Anchor text is usually gives the user relevant discriptive or contextual information about  the content of the link's destination.

I am pretty amazed to find such a question here... I am sure there are thousands of different online resources that will give an answer to the thread creator... I don't get the idea to post such questions in a forum and expect to see the same answer (with different words) a lot of times ;)
