This is likely a basic question but I've found no answers. When I search for my site on Google, (or Bing and Yahoo), none of them are reading my meta description.

I've gone in to Webmaster tools in google, entered my URL and had google crawl my site but still no dice (that was last week).

Here are my meta tags. Are they the problem or something else?

That's usual, sometime Google does not rate the website description and title to be matched with the website and put something else from the website's content and use it as title or description in search results. If you want to include your own title rewrite them and try to write more naturally.

and how you are checking your description. Probably you are checking your some keyword position and not finding description exactly entered by you than i would say nothing to be worry. Google shows the best match and probably it is getting best match in your content.

You should write your meta tags once again i hope you will be read and crawled by google, but you should research hard before read your meta tags.

Hello Apexis,

Use this code within your head section of website <meta name="robots" content="follow, index"/>, your meta tags will be read by search engines. This is happening as your website is listed in ODP.. !-!
