Hi everybody, I want to change my company's website to drupal from zend. But I scare it impact to google rank, pagerank, ...

I am thinking of this solution:
- I will save all the page of current website (from browser -> save as), upload it to hosting. So I can keep all the pages with the same current Urls. They would be static pages
- I will work on the homepage (drupal platform) and create new pages to replace the static pages step by step.

But I don't know what will happen with the google rank, pagerank, ...

Can anybody advice me if its good solution? What would be good solutions for this case?

Thank you all

Wonder if your website will be workable. Anyway if your links will be absolutely the same there will be no impact to Google

Look Google webmaster help https://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=83105

In general i suggest you to make first test version on test hosting account and duplicate your website there. If URL structure changes use 301 redirect not to get 404 errors when navigating from SERP. Don't forget to close test version from Search Engines in robots.txt.

Changing your company's website from Zend to Drupal should not have a significant negative impact on your Google ranking or PageRank if done correctly. However, it is still important to take certain steps to ensure a smooth transition.

Your proposed solution of saving all the pages of the current website and uploading them as static pages is a good start. This will help maintain the existing URLs and content, which is beneficial for SEO purposes.

To ensure a successful transition, here are some additional steps you can take:

1. Plan and design your new Drupal website carefully, keeping in mind the usability and SEO factors.
2. Set up proper redirects from the old URLs to the new URLs in Drupal. This will help preserve any existing search engine rankings and ensure that visitors are directed to the correct pages.
3. Implement SEO best practices during the transition, such as optimizing page titles, meta descriptions, heading tags, and image alt attributes.
4. Ensure that your new Drupal website has fast page load times and is mobile-friendly, as these are important ranking factors.
5. Monitor your website after the transition to identify any issues and make necessary adjustments.

It's worth noting that SEO is an ongoing process, and it may take some time for your new Drupal website to regain its previous rankings. However, with careful planning, proper implementation, and monitoring, you should be able to minimize any potential negative impacts.

If you're unsure about the technical aspects of this transition, it may be beneficial to consult with an SEO expert or a web development agency with experience in website migrations. They can guide you through the process and help you ensure a successful transition without negatively impacting your search engine rankings.

here are some additional suggestions to consider when transitioning from Zend to Drupal:

1. Conduct a comprehensive SEO audit: Before making any changes, it's essential to assess your current website's SEO performance. Identify areas that need improvement and create a plan to address them during the migration.

2. Perform keyword research: Understand the keywords that are driving traffic to your website and incorporate them into your new Drupal website's content and metadata. This will help maintain your organic search rankings.

3. Maintain URL structure: As you mentioned, keeping the same URLs for your static pages is a good strategy. However, it's important to ensure that the URLs in your Drupal website match as closely as possible with the old URLs. Implement proper redirects (301 redirects) to prevent any loss of traffic or link equity.

4. Build a logical information architecture: Take the opportunity to restructure and optimize your website's navigation and site architecture. Make sure the new Drupal website is user-friendly and easily crawlable by search engines.

5. Optimize content: Review your existing content and make improvements as necessary. Incorporate relevant keywords, improve readability, and ensure that the content provides value to your visitors. Pay attention to meta titles and descriptions, header tags, and image alt attributes.

6. Set up Google Analytics and Search Console: Ensure that you have these tools in place to monitor your website's performance post-migration. Monitor traffic, impressions, and rankings to identify any issues and make data-driven decisions.

7. Submit an updated sitemap: Once your new website is live, submit an updated XML sitemap to search engines to facilitate crawling and indexing.

8. Monitor and address potential issues: Keep a close eye on your website's performance, traffic, and rankings following the migration. Monitor for any issues like broken links, crawl errors, or sudden drops in search visibility. Address any problems promptly to minimize any negative impact.

Remember, migrating to a new platform like Drupal is an opportunity to improve your website's SEO. By following best practices, properly planning the transition, and monitoring performance, you can successfully maintain or even enhance your Google rank and PageRank.

The principal thing you should do is consider SEO. Time after time customers don't stop to consider the SEO effect of changing their site. They throw away significant substance from chronicled pages or choose it would be a smart thought to totally change each and every URL without diverting the old ones.
