Hi everyone

Could I have your opinions please?

I am a little muddled about when to point links to internal pages.

So far I have always concentrated on linking to my home page for maybe 6 or 8 phrases of 2 or 3 words. That's been good and my first site is PR5. I am working on 8 altogether.

I am trying link-vault and have now been advised to route some links to internal pages.

I'd love to know what you think as a general principal. I have my major keywords covered and rank well anyway for a lot of the minor ones.

I'd also welcome your thoughts on some numbers, ie when is it too many links in one week? Link-Vault allocates a lot of low PR links before getting to the better higher PR ones. I don't want to go too fast and trigger anything.

i think you can always do internal linking anytime as long as the links are not spammy and it makes sense in the articles.

Internal linking is part of usability if visitor comes to site so internal linking helps to visits other page. And do link building with internal page which are relevant to the keyword.

Its always better to target home page and important product/category pages. Major category pages must have link to/from home page. This helps to increase the PR of category pages.

internal links function as bridges between content that might otherwise be considered disparate by search crawlers. They ensure that search spiders are made aware of all the content that you have to offer. This is pivotal to optimization, as if the content isn't indexed, it might as well not be there. The more content the spiders find, the more relevant your website will be deemed when users search for a service that you provide (provided that the content is populated with appropriate keywords) and greater amounts of varied content increase the amount of terms that your website might rank for.

Many people will link to your home, instead of the specific page. Especially big media. On that basis, I say build deep and let the home links gather naturally.

It is better to choose link to home page because in the home page all the information are found here also it is the main idea of the whole website.

I think inner pages are better to link. They are weak and all inner pages has link to main page. So what you get will go to main page too. Am i wrong? You get pagerank from your pages or subdomains too.
