Redirects in Google Analytics

(1/1)

AnnoyingOrange:
Is it possible to measure in google analytics 301 redirects within a domain?

Alternatively, what is another solution or another place to check to see how many redirects there were from a given address?

soleseriouss:
No, It's not possible to track the same in google analytics.

Hi, You won't be able to see that information in Google Analytics unless you tag the resolving URL in the redirect with UTM parameters. i.e. www.mywebsite.com >> www.yourwebsite.com/?utm_medium=301&utm_source=mywebsite.com 2

Login to Google Analytics, and go to Acquisition > All Traffic > Channels then click on 'Source/Medium' as your primary dimension, then apply an in-line filter for '301'. Choosing 'Landing Page' as your secondary dimension will provide you with a list of all the 301 redirects that are sending traffic to your site.
