Certainly, there are certain practices you can adopt to encourage search engines to index your website more frequently and to take notice of new or updated content. However, it's important to understand that you cannot directly control or force when search engines crawl or index your site. The frequency at which they do so depends largely on their algorithms, which consider various factors such as the importance, freshness, and change frequency of content.

Here are some steps you can take:

Update Your Content Frequently: Regularly updating the content on your site can potentially lead to more frequent crawling. Search engines, especially Google, prefer websites with fresh content.

Create a Sitemap: If you haven't done so already, create a XML sitemap for your website. This map will help search engines understand the structure of your site and find all its pages. Once you've created it, submit your sitemap directly to Google via the Google Search Console and to Bing via Bing Webmaster Tools.

Use Fetch as Google/Bing: Both Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools have a feature called "Fetch as Google" or "Fetch as Bing" that lets you inform them about a URL on your website. After you submit the URL, the search engines will crawl that page. This method is useful when you have new or updated pages that you'd like to be crawled as soon as possible.

Interlink Your Pages: The more internal links a page has, the more likely it is to be crawled by search engines. Make sure all of your important pages are linked from elsewhere on your site. This includes not only navigational links but also links within your content.

Build Quality Backlinks: The more quality backlinks a website has, the more frequently it will be crawled. When a search engine finds a link pointing to your site on another website, it follows that link and crawls your website.

Increase Your Page Speed: Websites that load quickly are more likely to be crawled more frequently.

Use Robots.txt Wisely: If there are certain URLs on your site you don't want search engines to crawl, you can block them using your robots.txt file. This can be helpful if you want search engines to prioritize other, more important pages.

Update 'change frequency' in XML Sitemap: XML sitemaps allow you to specify a 'change frequency' for each URL. By updating this setting, you can let search engines know how often you expect to update each page.

Use social media: Search engines look at social signals, so share links to your updated content on your social media profiles. This can create more pathways for search engine bots to find your content.

Focus on SEO: Good SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies are key for getting your website noticed by search engines. This includes using appropriate keywords, having a well-organized site structure, and using meta tags correctly.

Check for Crawl Errors: Use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to check for any crawl errors on your website. These could be preventing search engines from indexing your site or specific pages.

Use Content Delivery Network (CDN): Using a CDN can speed up the delivery of your website's content which in turn helps in more frequent indexing.

Use the URL Inspection Tool: Google's URL Inspection tool (also located in Google Search Console) can help you submit individual pages to be recrawled. This can be helpful when major changes have been made to significant pages on your site.

Serve High-Quality Content: Last but not least, regularly update your website with relevant, unique and high-quality content to attract more users, backlinks and search engine crawlers.

Hi...

There are two possible reasons, why Google crawls your website slowly.
1. Quality content
2. link popularity

If Google doesn't find enough good and unique quality content or not enough links pointing to your site then Google thinks that your site is not very important and stops crawling faster. But, If Google founds your website have more quality content and links then the crawl rate increases. So, basically Google crawl rate depends on quality content and link popularity.

Thanks

manvbf, well, it depends - have you old or new site. Because, if you have new site and just want to get in index, you can put some (not much) links in different social networks (FB, Twitter).
But if you have an old site and want to increase a speed of crawling, you can try to add a new articles, for example, twice in a week (or more). And in a short time crawling speed will be grown up.

I agreed. But with this you have to increase your backlinks quality. You can add your website to high page rank sites which are daily crawl by search engine.

Web crawlers copy pages for processing by a search engine, which indexes the downloaded pages so that users can search more efficiently. Crawlers consume resources on visited systems and often visit sites without approval.
