Meta tags are HTML codes that are inserted into the header on a web page, after the title tag.
The meta description tag and the meta keywords tag are not seen by users. Instead, these tags main purpose is providing meta document data to user agents, such as search engines. In addition to the well-known meta description and meta keywords tags, there are other useful meta tags, including the meta http-equiv tag, meta refresh tag, the meta robots tag, the meta copyright tag, and the meta author tag, etc.

HTML Meta tags are snippets of HTML code that are inserted in a web page's header, and come after the title tag. The title tag itself is one of the essential components used in obtaining a high ranking in the SERPs. That's because the words of the title tag are shown on the clickable links of the SERPs.

I agreed, and meta keywords has been removed from Google algo

The keyword and description meta tags that you include in the html of your pages, provide information to search engines that will not be displayed by web browsers. There are about a dozen different meta tags but two are most important for our purposes: the Title tag and the Description tag.

Meta tags are HTML requirements that are placed into the headlines on a web page, after the headline tag. They take a wide range of types and serve a wide range of reasons, but in the perspective of seo when people make reference to meta labels, they are usually making reference to the meta information tag and the meta search phrases tag.!!
