In most cases, the reason a page doesn't rank is that there's simply too much competition. If you optimize your content for competitive keywords and keyphrases, such as [cat behavior], [robot vacuum cleaner], or [real estate agent], chances are high you won't rank for that term.

You've probably wondered why you can't rank for certain keywords - you can't seem to find that "aha" moment that turns a search into an instant ranking. If you're trying to rank for commercial keywords, you'll probably have a lot of competition for those keywords. It's a good idea to scale your ambitions for those keywords and focus on building authority instead. This process can be applied to any niche, no matter how competitive it is.

Getting higher rankings in Google requires a solid website. The older a website, the more authority and links it has. Your entire site needs to be built according to SEO best practices. We recommend that you read the Webmaster Guidelines if you are new to SEO. This will allow you to understand the expectations of your site and how to get higher rankings. For more information on SEO, see the Google Webmaster Guidelines.
Using relevant keywords increases your chances of success in ranking. Relevant keywords are more likely to lead to a real return on investment. Rankings don't mean anything unless they bring in relevant leads. You can only get so many clicks on a single page if it's aimed at one specific keyword. The best way to use the keywords that are relevant to your website's niche is to target long tail keyphrases.

Hey, it's a good question, although the longer you work in search marketing, the more obvious the answer becomes.

It's difficult for new websites to rank for popular, high-volume keywords for two primary reasons:
1. Don’t have much site authority yet
2. The competition for “popular keywords” is that much stiffer.

If you have a new website and you want to rank for a popular keyword, you’ll have to prove your site’s worth to Google first. Here are some tips for getting there:
1. Target Long-Tail Keywords First
2. Develop Real Content
3. Practice safe, honest link building
4. Try Pay Per Click
qa am neq here your post is worthy and helpful to solve my problem.

This can consist of anything from building more spammy backlinks to your website t, to using over-optimized anchor text or thin/duplicate content. A penalty will cause your website to lose organic traffic and rankings, making it more difficult for users to locate it in search results.

Perform watchword research utilizing an instrument like MajesticSEO, SemRush or a free option like Google Catchphrase Organizer. Search for high month to month searches and low rivalry catchphrases (long tail watchwords). For instance "how to bring in cash" is certainly not a smart thought. In this way, all things being equal, go for long tails watchwords, for example, "how to bring in cash in London"

Compose your text and remember your definite match catchphrase for the title as well as in the primary passage and in one subheading.
