To check for a spam penalty, enter the URL without HTTP into Google's search bar. It appearing on the top of the results is a good thing.

Next, enter the URL without the HTTP into Google's search bar without the "." in between the URL and the TLD. If it's on the top of search results, it doesn't have a spam penalty.

If it doesn't pass the first, it more than likely has a spam penalty.

Ex:

myurlhere.com <--search

myurlhere com <--search

Penalties can be manual or automatic. with manual penalty, you will be noticed during the mistake but in automatic.

Your website and keywords are not ranking well and remove your website from google search result.

1. Check Google Analytics for Traffic Data:

If one day, your traffic seems normal, and the next day there's a sharp drop-off (or possibly no traffic at all), that's a pretty good indicator of a possible penalty.

2. Check Whether Your Site is Still Indexed:
3. Check for a Recent Google Algorithm Update:
4. Check Google Webmaster Tools:

The best option to check that your website is penalized by Google or not is Google Analytics and Google Webmasters tool. If you see a drop in Google organic traffic during the dates that Google released an algorithmic change, then most probably your website get penalized.

In Google Webmaster tool: If you click on Search Traffic and Manual Actions, you can find out if you were penalized. For example, if Google detects unnatural links on your site, you will get a message explaining the issue.

Yes, there are a few ways to determine if your website has been penalized by Google algorithms.

1. Check the Google Search Console: The Search Console is a powerful tool that provides valuable insights about your website's performance in search results. It will notify you of any manual actions or penalties applied to your site.

2. Monitor Organic Traffic: If you notice a sudden drop in organic traffic, it could be an indication of a penalty. Keep an eye on your Google Analytics data to track any significant changes in traffic patterns.

3. Look for Manual Actions: Google sometimes manually penalizes websites for violating its quality guidelines. In the Search Console, go to the "Manual Actions" section to see if there are any penalties against your site.

4. Check Algorithm Updates: Google regularly releases algorithm updates that can impact website rankings. If you notice a sudden drop in rankings coinciding with a known update period, it might indicate a penalty.

5. Monitor Keyword Rankings: Use SEO tools to keep track of your keyword rankings. If you observe a significant drop in rankings for multiple keywords, it may indicate a penalty.

6. Conduct a Backlink Analysis: Use backlink analysis tools to assess the quality and quantity of your website's backlinks. If you notice many low-quality or spammy backlinks, it could be a sign of a penalty.

7. Check for Indexing Issues: If your website pages are not indexed or have been de-indexed by Google, it could be due to a penalty. Use the "site:" operator in Google search to see if your pages are still appearing in the search results.

8. Monitor Google Penalty Checker Tools: Several online tools can help identify if your website has been penalized by a specific Google algorithm update. These tools analyze ranking fluctuations across various websites and provide insights into penalties.

9. Evaluate User Experience: A poor user experience, such as slow page loading times, intrusive pop-ups, or mobile responsiveness issues, can potentially lead to penalties. Regularly monitor and optimize your website's user experience to prevent any penalties.

10. Analyze SERP Features: If your website previously appeared in Google's featured snippets, but no longer does, it could indicate a penalty. Monitor the search engine results pages (SERPs) to see if your website is still included in prominent positions.

The fast and authoritative way is to type " site:yousite.com" in Google search box. If no page was indexed, your site may have been penalised by Google.
