Forum profile backlinks are links that are created in user profiles on online forums. These backlinks were previously used as a way to improve search engine rankings by increasing the number of inbound links to a website. However, search engines have evolved and become more sophisticated in their algorithms. Nowadays, forum profile backlinks are generally considered as low-quality links and may even be penalized by search engines.

It is important to note that link building strategies have changed over time, and search engines now prioritize the quality and relevance of backlinks rather than the quantity. Building high-quality backlinks from reputable websites is more effective in improving search engine rankings and driving organic traffic to a website.

Therefore, it is generally not recommended to rely solely on forum profile backlinks for SEO purposes. Instead, focus on creating valuable content, acquiring genuine backlinks from authoritative sources, and engaging in ethical SEO practices.

more points to consider when it comes to forum profile backlinks:

1. Relevance: The relevance of the forum and the discussion to your website or business is important. If the forum is not related to your niche, the backlink may not have much value.

2. Authority and Trust: It's crucial to focus on building backlinks from authoritative and trustworthy sources. Forum backlinks from low-quality or spammy forums can harm your website's reputation and rankings.

3. User Engagement: Instead of solely relying on forum profile backlinks, actively engage in discussions and contribute valuable insights. This can help you build a positive online presence and establish yourself as an authority in your field.

4. Diversify Link Building Strategies: Rather than relying solely on forum backlinks, diversify your link building strategies. Seek opportunities for guest posting, create valuable content that others will naturally link to, and engage in social media marketing.

Overall, the key is to prioritize quality over quantity when it comes to link building. Building genuine relationships, providing value to users, and engaging with reputable websites will yield better long-term results for your SEO efforts.

Most forums make their content link by default no-follow. You can put any as you like as it is a discussion board so search engines doesn't count that much. And as it goes for signature links I haven't seen any SERP rise for those kind of links even if they are do-follow.

In profile link creation, You usually go to a website and create an account. Then on the profile section, the website links will be added.
That mean it's really worth it but how more ? its depend on that forums domain age & authority.
