Is Page Rank really dead in SEO?

I think PageRank is still valuable in evaluating the website strength and credibility, however, it is no longer the "end-all-be-all" ranking factor that it was in the past. It is fairly common too see sites with lower PageRank outranking sites with higher PageRank because they have better content or on-site SEO going for them.

PR is already shutdown and Google stopped its update with the toolbar years ago and PR has nothing to do with SEO. They are both different and specialize in different field.

Yes page rank is no more updated by Google.

Google officially killed off PageRank scores. I would say that Google does use PageRank internally and it is still an important factor in their algorithm. But the external PageRank score shown in these tools and the Toolbar was between 0 and 10, whereas the score used by Google internally is way more complex.
