This tool is an absolute life saver, it tells you the "search volumes" for your selected Keywords, this will help you see if you are targeting a keyword far far to high above your head or a keyword that only gain three searches a month.

It also offers a "Keyword Suggestion" tool, this is brilliant as you can research around your topic and find niche keywords that no-one is targeting.

Sorry about the strange web address - Google seem to be changing it a bit, but it still works a treat!

The Google Keyword Tool, also known as the Google Keyword Planner, is a tool provided by Google Ads that allows users to research and analyze keywords for their advertising campaigns. It helps marketers understand the search volume, competition, and cost-per-click (CPC) estimates for specific keywords.

By entering a keyword or a list of keywords, users can gain insights into how often those terms are searched for on Google, which can be useful in determining the popularity and potential reach of a particular topic. The tool provides data on average monthly searches and trends over time, helping users identify keyword opportunities or assess the level of competition.

Additionally, the Google Keyword Tool suggests new keyword ideas based on the entered keywords or a specific website, helping users discover related terms or niche keywords that may be worth targeting.

The Google Keyword Tool is commonly used by businesses and advertisers to optimize their paid search campaigns, but it can also be a valuable resource for content creators, SEO specialists, and researchers looking to understand user behavior and search trends.

points about the Google Keyword Tool:

1. Targeting Options: The tool allows users to filter keyword data based on location, language, and search network, ensuring that the insights are tailored to the specific target audience.

2. Historical Metrics: Users can view historical metrics for keywords, providing a sense of how their popularity has changed over time. This can help identify seasonal trends or long-term shifts in user interests.

3. Competition Analysis: The tool provides information on keyword competition, indicating how many advertisers are bidding on specific keywords. This data can help users identify highly competitive keywords or find opportunities with lower competition.

4. Performance Forecasting: The Google Keyword Tool can forecast the potential performance of keyword ideas, estimating the number of clicks, impressions, and conversions that can be expected based on different bidding strategies.

5. Integration with Google Ads: The tool seamlessly integrates with Google Ads, allowing users to export keyword data and incorporate it into their advertising campaigns.

6. Cost Estimates: Along with search volume and competition, the tool provides estimates of the average CPC (Cost Per Click) for specific keywords. This information can be helpful in budget planning and determining the potential cost of running ad campaigns.

details about the Google Keyword Tool:

1. Keyword Grouping: Users can group their keyword ideas into ad groups, making it easier to organize and structure their campaigns. This feature allows for better targeting and ad relevance.

2. Negative Keywords: The tool also helps identify negative keywords, which are terms that users want to exclude from their campaigns. By adding negative keywords, advertisers can refine their targeting and prevent their ads from showing up for irrelevant searches.

3. Mobile Search Insights: The Google Keyword Tool provides insights specifically for mobile searches. This is valuable for businesses or advertisers looking to optimize their mobile advertising strategies and target users who primarily use mobile devices.

4. Multi-language Support: The tool supports multiple languages, allowing users to research keywords for different regions and demographics. This is particularly useful for businesses targeting international markets or multilingual audiences.

5. Keyword Trends: The tool provides information on keyword trends, showing whether a keyword's popularity is increasing or decreasing over time. This helps users stay up to date with evolving search behavior and tailor their strategies accordingly.

6. Competitive Analysis: Users can compare their performance with competitors by analyzing keyword trends and metrics. This allows for better understanding of the competitive landscape and potential areas for improvement.

A useful tool, but if you are serious about your keywords, it might be a good idea to examine other tools as well.
