It depends on the content you write and also on the topic. It is up to you or on your content writer to how to frame the contents.

From SEO point of view, there should be only one H1 tag per page and your page title should be enclosed in h1 tag <H1>Title</H1>.

There should be 2–4 H2 tags per page and these should enclose your important content and sub-headings.

H3’s can vary from 6–8 depending upon requirements while there can be 10–12 H4’s on a page.

It is advised that H5 and H6 tags should be avoided as they don’t put a greater impact on our Page Rank.

As concluding remarks, i’d say that number of these tags vary page to page and they entirely depend upon how much page content is there on a page.

Every page needs only 1 h1 tag. There is no reason to use more than a single h1 tag. Not necessarily. Search engines will crawl multiple H1s on a page, sure, but the logical priority of an H1 semantic tag means that you're focusing your SEO efforts on one keyword phrase or sentence, as opposed to many.
