The term "404 like content" refers to web pages or content that resemble a 404 error page, which is displayed when a requested page cannot be found on a website. This can include pages that have broken links, missing content, or incomplete information.

On the other hand, a soft 404 error is an error page that may not return a standard 404 status code but still indicates that the requested page is not available. Soft 404 errors are often used when a webpage redirects users to a generic error page instead of a specific 404 page.

When it comes to 404-like content, it typically means that the content on a webpage is not what the user expects or is looking for. In some cases, it could be due to broken links or outdated information. For example, if you click on a link and it takes you to a page that says "Page Not Found" or "404 Error," that would be considered 404-like content.

Soft 404 errors, on the other hand, refer to situations where a web server returns a status code other than 404 (which indicates that the requested page is not found), but the content on the page still implies that the page does not exist. This can be confusing for users and search engines because they may expect to find relevant content on a page that does not clearly indicate its non-existence.

In summary, both 404-like content and soft 404 errors indicate an issue with the availability or presentation of requested content on a webpage.
