I've discovered about Contextual Link Building, but I'm not precisely certain what it is. Is it a good way to get backlinks? How do I manage it?

This is a very new process which is a unique way of site promotion.
It is done by creating back links in the content. Search tools are always looking for new and unique contents;
if your website has some exceptional content then it can be on the top of the search results.
Article submission is one of the best ways of this process.
You can easily submit in-content responses with an article of 300 to 400 words.
But to be on the safer side you need to insure that your blog is set up on an exclusive IP. To get more profits you can even try getting back links from high PR and popular blogs.

Contextual link building is a method of generating backlinks by inserting your links in the context of related, high-quality content. It adds a lot of value to your SEO efforts because search engines like Google consider the relevance and quality of the backlink's context when determining its value.

The overall goal is to have your link naturally embedded within the content that is not only high quality, related to your niche, but also provides value to the readers. This is as opposed to less desirable methods of backlink generation such as blog comment spamming, advertisements, and low-quality directory listings.

Here's a simple step-by-step approach to doing it right:

Identify Relevant Websites/blogs: This is typically the first step in contextual link building. Craft a list of websites or blogs that are relevant to your niche. Tools like Moz, SEMrush, and Ahrefs can be really helpful to identify such websites with high domain authority.

Create High-Quality Content: With the right websites or blogs in mind, your focus should be on creating high-quality content. It could be an article, blog, infographic, or a well-researched study - basically, anything that the audience of your chosen website would find useful and informative.

Insert Your Links Naturally: Don't forcefully insert links into your content. Instead, have your links placed naturally within the context. This could mean linking to a relevant product, blog post, or service page on your site from within the context of the content. Importantly, strive to add value, don't prioritize getting the link over the user experience or the overall cohesiveness of the content.

Outreach: Reach out to the owners or webmasters of the websites where you want your content (with your link) to be posted. This could be through guest posting opportunities or collaborative content creation. A persuasive, personalized email explaining the benefits of your content for their readers can go a long way.

Monitor Your Links: After your link is live, it's necessary to monitor its performance. Use tools like Google Analytics to check the traffic coming through your backlink. Also, constantly monitor to ensure that your backlink stays active.

Contextual link building is a solid strategy, but as with any link building technique, it is not without potential pitfalls. Being overly promotional, having a low-value content, or attempting to add your link to irrelevant sites can damage your reputation and harm your SEO results.

Here are a few additional tips and strategies for effective Contextual Link Building:

Anchor Text: Anchor text is the clickable text in a hyperlink. SEO best practices suggest that anchor text should be relevant to the page you're linking to and not used too repetitively, which could seem spammy and lead to penalties. Aim for a balanced combination of keyword-targeted, branded, and natural anchor texts.

Deep Linking: Instead of just linking to the homepage of your website, consider linking to other pages on your site as well(like a product page, blog post, or an about us page). These specific links, also known as deep linking, can provide more value to users and potentially increase the dwell time on your site.

Content Relevancy: When doing link building, you must ensure that the content relevance is high. This not only enhances the user experience but could also boost the importance of the link in the eyes of search engines.

Collaboration: Consider collaborating with influencers, bloggers, or niche industry sites. This can be done through interviews, joint studies, or collaborative content creation. By doing this, you gain access to their audience and likely a high-authority contextual backlink.

Contextual Link Building Services: You might also consider hiring a third-party service to handle contextual link building for you. These services generally have existing relationships with many high-authority websites, which can make the process easier and quicker. But remember to do your research before hiring any service - not all of them use suitable or ethical strategies.

Broken Link Method: In this method, you first find a broken link on another website, then you notify the owner of the website about the broken link and offer your link as a replacement. In order to do this, your content must be relevant and offer similar value to the original source.

Monitor Your Performance: As I mentioned before, keep monitoring your performance to understand what type of content, outreach methods, and websites yield the best results for you. This will help refine your strategy over time.

Skyscraper Technique: Invented by Brian Dean, this involves finding content in your niche that is already popular and well-linked, creating a better version of it (making it more comprehensive, up-to-date, visually attractive, etc.), and then reaching out to the right people who are likely to link to your content.

Resource Page Link Building: Many websites have resource pages that link out to great content on a particular topic. If you have created an exceptional piece of content that fits perfectly into a resource page of a high-authority website, there's a chance that you can earn a place on that page.

Ego Bait Method: This involves mentioning or featuring influencers or industry leaders in your content in a positive light. The aim is to make them feel recognized and appreciated, prompting them to share your content with their followers and possibly offer a link back to your site.

Local Blogger Outreach: If your business has a physical presence in a particular area, consider reaching out to bloggers in your locality. Local bloggers often have home-grown followings and might be more willing to collaborate, especially if you can offer them local events, products, or experiences to write about.

Expert Roundups: Similar to the ego bait method, expert roundups involve collecting insights from industry pundits on a specific topic and compiling them into a single post. These experts often share and link back to such articles.

Sponsorships and Partnerships: If your company is sponsoring an event or has formed a new partnership, ensure that the company or event website includes a contextual link back to your website during their announcement or news feature about the sponsorship or partnership.

Newsjacking: If you can quickly develop a relevant piece of content in response to a recent news event in your industry, you may be able to earn links by being a timely and valuable information resource. This requires you to stay on top of industry news and trends.

All you need to do is write interesting and unique articles that can be about 300 to 500 words and submit them on famous article directories such as ezinearticles.com and articlesbase.com. The article should also have a catchy title such as 'How to lose weight in 2 weeks in a healthy way'. The more interesting the title you have for your article, the better will be the chances of it being read.
