link building means creating backlinks that can send any visitor back to your website or any of its webpages. To do it, you can create root domain backlinks in high domain authority sites by registering on such sites and putting in your link either direct or in anchor text form in the profile settings. Also you can create backlinks in niche related forums and blogs and input your anchor text link as a signature. you can even put in your links in comments and posts as long as you are contributing meaningfully to these forums.

EPIC CONTENT LINK BUILDING
The foundation of every great web-site is great content. One of the most common mistakes people in SEO make is to set their crosshairs on links instead of content.

THE QUEST FOR THE PERFECT LINK
Now it’s time to learn how to properly evaluate a link's potential ranking power. While the SEO group has been obsessing about the updates, Google has slowly changed the way it evaluates a link’s value. Whether you’re a white hat, black hat, or gray hat, this chapter is a must-read.

If you want to increase blog traffic, the best thing you can do is quite simply create better content. You've probably heard this before - the term “content is king” is thrown around more than a funnel at a frat party. But creating “better content” isn't just about quality. Link building is done for getting traffic. Link building for a blog is work same as link building for a website.

There are many of ways that bloggers can both build and attract links to their blog and posts.
Here are the main methods:
- guest posting -   - this helps with SEO traffic as guest posts can get links from authoritative sites that have huge audiences and that have been around for years.
- interview influential people - interview people in your niche with more clout than you is one of the smartest things you can do, and this is outside of building great links as well.
- create widgets
- massive round-ups - if you could create a similar round-up for your niche, you could likely get some great links and even rank for a good term.
- crowdsources posts and ego-bait (first - posts that include the opinions of many knowledgeable experts, second - posts that focus on showcasing the talent/knowledge of one or many experts in your industry).
