Anyone used this SEO submission service?

A person recommended me to use this SEO submission site (http://www.directorycritic.com/seo-services/directory-submissions.php) but before I spend my money on it would like to ask here if anyone used it before and if it's any good and recommend it? It seems they know what they're doing and you can also spread the submission over 4 weeks so it doesn't look spammy to search engines. Anyone has feedback regarding this site or can advise on a better similar one (that's not too expensive)? Thank you.

Directory submissions were useful previously. But today directory sites are considered spam or 'thin' sites with very less content. The websites are rarely crawled and indexed in search engines. Hence there is no benefit of directory submission today.
