Yahoo Answers is one of my favorite ways to build links because the search engines like it and you may get a couple dozen hits from them if they're relevant.  The idea is to get a level 2 account for Y! Answers and then post helpful releveant answers with your backlink.

Yahoo answers can have mixed results, It's worked for me with some sites but you have to do it naturally otherwise it's no good.

Yahoo answers can get some targeted traffic, but in terms of SEO it didn't have great resylts for me. Some people claim to have seen excellent results but I didn't.

Yahoo Answers are much more strict than they were before and tend to kick out any suspicious people trying to promote themselves. I guess a few links here and there is okay. But just make sure you don't overdo it.

I think this is the one area in which yahoo can build its reputation.  People will resort to it for links then and it is not a bad idea either.

I am sure yahoo will succeed in building links for their customers.  This I say keeping in view their recent failure in keeping their publisher program alive.  Yahoo is still a great force to reckon.

Yahoo moderators are not too tolerant so be careful with how often you use backlinks in Yahoo Answers.  More than a dozen a week may warrant an account closure in Yahoo Answers.

Yahoo answers has the no take after label ascribed to every connection. It can be a decent wellspring of activity to your site however won't help you accomplish web crawler rankings.

Some claim link-building and attracting traffic with social Question & Answers Sites is a brilliant opportunity; others say it's a waste of time. The truth is, as always, in between – a positive impact of Q&A on your SEO at large depends on the way you do it. Make sure that you are able to establish yourself as an expert in your field.  Analyze what makes particular answers chosen as best ones in your niche. Also monitor Google Discussions to see what kind of questions rank high for your keywords. This will give you an idea of what questions to target and how not to lag behind other contributors when answering. Choose questions that are interesting and related to your niche. Avoid spammy one-liners from level 1 accounts, they will most likely be deleted.

I personally think this is the only one area in which yahoo can build its reputation.and we could get the link by posting the answer.
