Link farms are tightly-knit communities of pages referencing each other, also known facetiously as mutual admiration societies. The goal of link farming is to increase the number of websites linking back to a specific site.

The process of exchanging reciprocal links with Web sites in order to increase search engine optimization.link farming is to increase the number of sites that link to yours because search engines such as Google rank sites according to, among other things, the quality and quantity of sites that link to yours.

Well, Link farms should be ignored; they add no value to the back-links of your site. Moreover, if it is done extremely it can damage your site potentially!
