I've come across one site in particular https://telecareaware.com that I believe should be put nto our disavow file in Google Search Console. We have an astronomical number of backlinks from them (95K) and this site contributes to 93K of them. It will be hard to measure and manage backlinking with this one skewing the rest. Also, has low domain authority.

Is it best practice to disavow this one?

Thanks,

Spencer

I understand the importance of maintaining a healthy backlink profile for SEO purposes. In the case of https://telecareaware.com contributing an overwhelmingly large number of backlinks with low domain authority, it may indeed be beneficial to consider adding it to the disavow file in Google Search Console.

While the decision to disavow backlinks should not be taken lightly, given the significant impact this particular site has on your backlink profile, it is important to carefully assess the potential risks and benefits. Consideration should be given to the quality of the backlinks, relevance to your website, and the impact on overall SEO performance.

It would be prudent to conduct a thorough analysis of the backlinks from https://telecareaware.com, assessing their quality, relevance, and potential impact on your website's search engine ranking. If the majority of these backlinks are of low quality or irrelevant to your website, and especially if they are negatively impacting your domain authority, then adding them to the disavow file could be a sensible decision.

Before proceeding, it's advisable to consult with an SEO expert to ensure that the decision aligns with best practices and to mitigate any potential negative consequences. Keep in mind that regular monitoring of your backlink profile and making informed decisions regarding disavowing backlinks are essential components of effective SEO management.

Given the unique circumstances with such a high volume of backlinks from a single source, it's important to consider the potential impact on your website's search performance. The sheer magnitude of backlinks from https://telecareaware.com, especially when it contributes to the majority of your backlink profile, can skew the overall assessment of your website's authority and relevance in the eyes of search engines.

It's also worth mentioning that if the backlinks are of low quality or considered spammy by search engines, they could have a detrimental effect on your website's SEO. In such cases, adding them to the disavow file could help prevent any negative influence on your search rankings.

Furthermore, given the low domain authority of the source site, the backlinks may not be providing significant SEO value and might even be perceived as a red flag by search engines.

However, it's crucial to approach this decision with caution. A thorough evaluation of the backlinks and their impact on your website's performance should be conducted before making the final decision to disavow. It would be prudent to seek guidance from an experienced SEO professional who can provide a comprehensive analysis and recommendations based on best practices and the specific dynamics of your website's backlink profile.

Ultimately, the goal is to maintain a healthy and relevant backlink profile that positively contributes to your website's SEO efforts. If the backlinks from https://telecareaware.com are not meeting these criteria, then disavowing them could indeed be a best practice to consider.
