England World Cup Squad?!?
« on: 06-04-2010, 10:06:44 »
What does everyone think of Fabio's selections?

The offical announcementof the team is:

Goalkeepers: Robert Green (West Ham United), Joe Hart (Manchester City), David James (Portsmouth).

Defenders: Jamie Carragher (Liverpool), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Ledley King (Tottenham Hotspur), John Terry (Chelsea), Matthew Upson (West Ham United), Stephen Warnock (Aston Villa).

Midfielders: Gareth Barry (Manchester City), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Joe Cole (Chelsea), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Aaron Lennon (Tottenham Hotspur), James Milner (Aston Villa), Shaun Wright-Phillips (Manchester City)

Forwards: Peter Crouch (Tottenham Hotspur), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham Hotspur), Emile Heskey (Aston Villa), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

Of course this may interest me more as I am from England, but what are your thoughts?

Personally I am so glad that Joe Hart has got into the team, he is a brilliant player! Bit miffed that Booby Zamora had to pull out due to injury as he has been magnificent this season!

Englands gonna lose, they missed that penalty in the Japan Friendly, what a load of bollocks! They over rate themselves too much and that's the reason they're a useless team! Good bye!

I like Crouch is included to the squad. But, I don’t think this time England will win the World Cup. The top teams like Brazil and Argentina are still unbeatable. I wish Spain could do better this time, but their first match was disappointed. So, I’ll go with Brazil.
