The higher the domain authority the more trust your domain has in search engines. You can increase it using good content updates and also by building backlinks from other high authority webpages.

Well, you obviously need to start with keyword research which goes beyond search volume and competition analysis. If you are positive you understand who your customers are you need to have a list of action keywords ("buy", "purchase", "price"), full list of brands and a list of categories, product names all mixed up in different variations...and this is just the beginning of the whole process. If you are interested, here is a nice article that can help you to make right choices.

According to my understanding, a decent DA will be about 30. Higher and more quality sites will have around 40 - 60 DA. And only exceptional pages/famous brands like facebook or twitter will have 90-99 DA. Of course, there is no need for us to get to 99 DA, around 40 is decent enough to become a trusted site.

Basically Domain Authority (DA) is a metric developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine result pages (SERP). Domain Authority scores range from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater ability to rank.

Domain authority not only helps you to rank for keywords, but also makes your site appear authorities to search bots that mean whatever you write is considered important.

Domain authority is calculated on the basis of so many factors like this >>>

1. Linking root domains
2. Moz Rank
3. Quality content
4. Search engine friendliness and many more

Everyone is saying 30 is good domain authority, But we also can't say 20 is not good domain authority. Such domains can also get ranking and traffic.

Here are some ways to increase Domain Authority >>>

1. Create links from more sites
2. Content marketing
3. Avoid spammy links
4. Well-planned internal link structure
5. Social media optimization to drive more traffic
6. Increase user friendliness
