Hello Frnds,

One of my websites has 90% bounce rate. :( I am wondering how to get it lower.

Please advice me with your ideas and experiences.

Thanks a ton.

Bounce rate increases because user user doesn't want to see your website. Just provide quality content to the users so that he can stays in your website. Don't think of getting the ranking just focus on targeting the users, such as what users like?, which way to keep user interested?, How to provide good information?, how to navigate users properly?, how to provide addition information about the topic?, how to provide more internal links?.
By finding answers to these questions you will find that your bounce rate will be definitely reduced.

1st you change your website structure like design, content also. Don't used any popups ads, and if you keywords used by users and use landing page properly, keywords wise and customer requirement also very important.

Bounce rate is caused by visitors that is usually changing their site pages at a time when they are not satisfied with the site and its a bad sign for user experience. Which means the visitors is looking for the best site in the web.

The bounce rate is the number of users visited a page and exiting from that same page. Here are some reasons your bounce rate may be high.

  • Poor website design
  • Site navigation and usability
  • Slow loading time of website
  • Poor content of website

If you improve above points, it will help to reduce bounce rate of your website.

1. High bounce rate = website not of attention to guests = bad.
2. Use SEO accurately to catch the attention of the right people.
3. Have something new and fascinating to say.
4. Make the articles easily accessible.
5. Make the site aesthetically attractive.

On my site i have done a contest, with a nice gift to win, lots of people are playing, or at least just checking what the contest is all about, which resulted in reducing the bounce rate significally.
I have done the contest on another page via a video without controls ( they have to watch the video to know the question ;) ), that way they stay longer on my site.
